Turing Scheme
The Turing Scheme is an international mobility program funded by the UK government that provides students from eligible educational institutions with the opportunity to study, work, and volunteer worldwide.
2026–2027 academic year and beyond
Applications for institutional funding under the Turing Scheme for the 2026–2027 academic year have closed. Activities supported during this period will run from September 1, 2026 to August 31, 2027.
Since educational institutions in the United Kingdom are expected to be able to apply for funding for Erasmus+ mobility programs from 2027 onwards, the Turing Scheme, It will not be implemented in the 2027–2028 academic year.
What is the Turing Scheme?
The programme supports eligible educational institutions in the United Kingdom and British Overseas Territories in creating international study and work experiences for their students.

Global education and work experiences
The Turing Scheme provides funding to schools, further education and vocational training institutions, and higher education institutions to develop mobility projects worldwide for their students.
Activities in the field of higher education aim to enable students to study abroad, gain work experience or volunteer work, and develop their personal, academic, and professional skills through international experience.
Programme funding is allocated to an eligible educational institution in the United Kingdom. The selection of participants, their placement at the host institution and the grant processes are managed by the sending institution.
The programme is run through institutions in the United Kingdom.
Students from Sivas Cumhuriyet University cannot apply directly to the UK government for the Turing Scheme. Our university can participate in mobility activities as a host or partner institution for students from a UK higher education institution that has a Turing Scheme project.
Mobility opportunities depend on the project of the relevant UK institution, the available quota, academic fields, and collaboration arrangements between the institutions.

General Framework of Higher Education Mobility
Who can participate in higher education?
Participants must be studying at an eligible educational institution in the United Kingdom or a British Overseas Territory that receives funding.
Registered Students
Students continuing their studies at eligible higher education institutions that receive Turing Scheme funding.
Students with International Status
International students studying at a suitable institution, without the requirement of being a UK citizen.
Suitable Recent Graduates
Suitable recent graduates who will undertake work experience or volunteer activities within 12 months of graduation.
How is Turing Scheme Mobility Implemented?
A mobility program in which our university participates as the host institution generally consists of the following stages.
Partner Institution's Project
The institution in the United Kingdom develops projects for and receives funding from the Turing Scheme.
Corporate Collaboration
The host institution, academic fields, quotas, and operating conditions are determined.
Participant Selection
Participants are selected according to criteria set by the UK funding institution.
Acceptance and Documents
The host institution completes the acceptance procedures and documents related to the activity program.
Mobility
Participants carry out their learning, work experience, or volunteer activity on the specified dates.
